About

I enjoy visiting places that I’m not at all familiar with –  places like India, Tanzania, and Ukraine.  Oddly enough, I often feel more comfortable on the local streets of these places than I do traveling in parts of my hometown.  I enjoy an urban safari as much as I do a wildlife safari, whether I’m photographing a blacksmith on a side street in Bangkok’s China town or photographing a leopard climbing down a tree in the Serengeti (ok,  I’d rather be in the Serengeti).

Although I travel a fair amount, I spend more time at home in Oakland than I do away. When I’m at home in Oakland I do photo shoots of people in my studio as well as outside – I’m available for hire. Every now and then when I get a little bored or have a new piece of camera gear to try out, I’ll photograph my dogs.
