You probably heard about the iPhone storing the location of where ever it has been and then uploading that information to iTunes. You can read all about it in the NY Times. I download an application written by a fellow named Pete Warden that reads the location data from iTunes and plots where you or your phone have been on a map. You can download the application here. My world is above. I noticed that the iPhone didn’t record everywhere I’ve been and and it picked up some locations where I haven’t been, although my phone probably connected to cellular towers in those locations. The detail is very local when you zoom in. A high level view of my where abouts in Bangkok is below. Big brother is watching.
