Prospect Svobody is a main street or avenue running through central Lviv, Ukraine. Anchored at one end by the Lviv opera house, the middle or 100 meter wide median of Prospect Svobody is a  park with traffic flowing in opposite directions on each side. On weekends many people gather. Older men and some women, most well dressed, engage in vigorous but cordial political debate. Others gather around chess games.  Some gather in groups and sing. Some just hang out in the park. Here’s a snapshot of the folks gathering on typical weekend afternoons.
