I spent most of April and May 2010 in Thailand.  Coincidentally, in Bangkok there was a very large protest against government policies. It was known as the Red Shirt Protest. Effectively a month long occupation closing parts of central Bangkok, it culminated on May 19/20 when the Thai government decided enough was enough. I don’t take sides or fully understand and appreciate the issues involved.  Here are some pictures of what I saw.
